The Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy in collaboration with the Ministry of justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and RSE “National Institute of Intellectual Property" announced a contest among schoolchildren in the transport industry.
The contest is aimed at increasing the interest of schoolchildren in the transport industry, as well as in the formation of motivations for schoolchildren towards an informed choice of profession.
For the first time, the contest was held in 2017 within the framework of The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev's Address to the Nation of Kazakhstan “Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness", where it was noted about the need to develop critical thinking abilities among young people.
The contest is co-organized by the Cranfield University (UK), which is one of the leading post-graduate schools in the UK in the field of science, technology and management, as well as the Nazarbayev University. Air Astana National carrier and «Samruk-Kazyna Trust» are partners of the contest.
Participants of the contest are schoolchildren of secondary schools of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the age from 16 to 18 years old, proficient in English, having achievements in the field of physical and mathematical and natural sciences, as well as experience in independent project activities. The teams are formed by Akimat of regions and cities of national importance.
The qualifying round will be held in Astana from July 24 to 26, 2018, following finalist teams will be sent to the study tour to the Cranfield University (UK) in the period from 19 to 26 August, 2018.
