On behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and on his own behalf, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Boris Johnson on his election as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Tokayev stated in the telegram that Johnson's victory in the election of the leader of the ruling Tory party is the recognition of his impressive achievements and devotional service for the good of Britain.
The Head of State noted that Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom are developing a strategic partnership based on the strong bonds of friendship, trust and mutual understanding. The President of Kazakhstan expressed hope for further strengthening of bilateral cooperation and opening new investment opportunities.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished Boris Johnson every success in his new post, as well as prosperity to the people of the United Kingdom.
