Member of the Committee on Foreign Relations, Defence and Security of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurzhan Nursipatov attended the 65th Annual Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) in London.
NATO parliamentarians discussed the Alliance’s relations with Russia, its position of nuclear deterrence, security issues in the North Atlantic and Africa, the use of artificial intelligence, border security, cyber-security, digital markets, as well as the situation in Ukraine.
Mr. Nursipatov met with the Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Kazakhstan and member of the House of Commons of the UK Parliament Bob Stewart MP. The sides discussed the further strengthening of bilateral cooperation, including inter-parliamentary dialogue. On the sidelines of the session he also met with the deputy of the French National Assembly Philippe Michel-Kleisbauer and the member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Cho Kyoung-tae.
