AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN TO HUNGARY
Mr. Zhanibek Abdrashov
Mr. Zhanibek Abdrashov was born on September 6, 1977 in Almaty. In 1998, he graduated with honors from the Kazakh State law University with a degree in law.
He has been working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan since 1998.
He began his career as a legal adviser, head of the sector of the Department for servicing the diplomatic corps of the MFA of Kazakhstan. In 2004, he held the position of Head of the State Protocol Service of the Ministry of foreign Affairs in Almaty.
In the period from 2006 to 2010 he worked as the second, first Secretary of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UN in New York.
In 2010 he was appointed Deputy, and then in 2014 the Chief of the State Protocol Service of the MFA of Kazakhstan.
Prior to his appointment as Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Hungary, he worked as Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in New York since November 2017.
He has the diplomatic rank of Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, class II.
Fluent in English.
Married and has four children.
