Cultural and humanitarian cooperation

The development of cultural and humanitarian ties is an important component of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Serbia.

March 1, 2016. A concert of the Folk Instruments Ensemble of the Kazakh National University of Arts, devoted to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the celebration of Nauryz Meiramy was successfully held in one of the popular Belgrade's theaters «Kolarec». The Ensemble performed works of Abai Kunanbaev, Kurmangazy, Ykylas Dukenuly, Birzhan Kozhagululy, Dayrabay Nurgozhauly, Sarah Tastankbekyzy, Dina Nurpeisova, Latif Hamidi, Nurgisa Tlendiev as well as writings of foreign classics.

In May and August 2016, the central and regional TV channels of Serbia showed documentary films «Living Creating» and «About basic with Nazarbayev», as well as the feature film «Zhambyl», translated into Serbian.

August 22, 2016. On the eve of the first official visit of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to Serbia in Belgrade was held the presentation of the book «Zhambyl. Poet of the Great Steppe» written by rector of the Eurasian National University E.Sydykov and translated into Serbian.

August 22, 2016. Novi Sad (capital of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina) hosted musical concert of artists of Almaty region.

August 24, 2016. In Belgrade the presidents of Kazakhstan and Serbia, Nursultan Nazarbayev and Tomislav Nikolic, unveiled a bust of Kazakh poet Zhambyl Zhabayev.

December 8, 2016. In the framework of celebration of 25th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Serbia a concert of artists of Almaty region was held in Belgrade.

March 17, 2017. Ambassador Kazakhstan N. Rustemov gave a lecture at one of the leading Serbian universities «Alpha BK University». The topic of lecture was development of Kazakhstan and the prospects of Kazakh-Serbian cooperation.

December 7, 2017. The concert of the Academic Orchestra of Kazakh folk instruments named after Dina Nurpeisova was organized in Belgrade.

December 13, 2017. In the framework of diplomatic reception, the concert of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Zhurgenov took place in Belgrade.

March 1, 2018. The Concert of the Ensemble of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Zhurgenov was organized in Novi Sad.

March 28, 2018. Day of Kazakhstani cuisine was organized in Belgrade.
